Health Risk Assessment
In the past, healthcare providers focused on fixing sick and injured people, while health plans focused on the insurance aspects of their business. There was limited interest in helping people stay healthy, however, times have changed dramatically. Today, both providers and health plans recognize the imperative need to promote wellness and work to improve health.
Qualitative research provides a depth and richness of insight into topics of interest that is typically not attainable in quantitative research. At DSS, qualitative research is primarily used to support our quantitative research projects, such as product design, communications testing, member and patient experience and other quantitative studies. In most cases, qualitative research is done before quantitative to help inform the research design. However, sometimes it is done after in order to drill down into issues identified during the quantitative process.
The term trackers is used to reference studies that are done repeatedly. In other words, doing the same study on a predetermined schedule to see how things have changed. Trackers are typically done monthly, quarterly or annually are used to study satisfaction, brand awareness, brand image, population health, and more.
